McAll 2011

We got to spend the day with Mark and Melissa and their kids up at McAll. It was sooooo much fun! First we had breakfast at the Pancake House, which is awesomely delicious and then they had rented a waverunner so we spent the rest of the day doing that and swimming in the water. Carter played for a solid 5 hours in the sand and water and never got fussy once. He LOVED it! Keven took him out on the waverunner, which I was nervous about, but they both had a good time and Carter wasn't scared at all. He looked so little sitting on it, which was adorable. It was a great time and we were so glad we got to see them!

What We've Been Up To

Keven took vacaction time this week. Week before last, we took Carter to the circus. He really loved it. Especially when the motorcycles went around and around in the cage. It was pretty cool! We had a pretty good 4th of July. My brother's came into town from BYUI and there were many laughs to be had. After the weekend we took Carter to the theater to see their cheap summer movie. It's only a dollar and Carter was free. They were playing Megamind. He was good for only about 15 minutes, but it was a still a good time. We also went swimming at Ivywild pool and to the zoo. We are trying keep Carter as busy as possible during the day because the more active he is, the better he sleeps. But keeping him busy is proving to be pretty difficult, especially when Keven is at work. Pregnancy is seriously taking a toll on my body. My sciatic nerve has gone haywire and just getting up off the couch can be excruciating. Sleeping is the WORST! I can-not-wait to get this baby out and get myself back to normal. We are still not 100% sure if it really is a girl. My last ultrasound, the baby's feet were all tucked in down there, making it very hard to determine. But we still say "girl", but ya never know. I have an appointment on the 19th, so hopefully we will know for sure then.

Carter 19 months

Carter is getting so tall I can hardly believe it. He fits perfectly into size 24 months clothes, give or take a few things. He is just growing like a weed! A few of the things that Carter is most interested in lately is being outside! He loves, loves, loves it!! Everytime we have to come back in, he cries and throws a little fit. He likes to play on his little slide and chase the cat around the yard. He also loves when his Gramma Honey comes and takes him to play at her house. He adores my mom! Carter is a great sleeper! He sleeps from about 8 to 8 every night. He usually naps once during the day, somedays he doesn't nap and that makes for a very looonnnggg day. He loves attention. If he doesn't get it when he wants it, he will do what it takes until we are paying attention to him! He loves when his daddy plays on the floor with him, especially when he get's to ride on his back! Carter is also starting to play "pretend" with his toys and other objects. It's really cute to watch and to hear the noises he makes. Some of the words he can say are dada, mama, ball, nana (banana), chichur (nature), uh-oh, achoo, eye, poo-poo and baby. He tries to imitate a lot of what we say, but those are the definate words. He still just has 8 teeth, so we still give him baby food, but we do give him a lot of grown-up food. Some of his favorites are grilled cheese, cheerios, pears, cheese crackers, chips, teddy grams, mashed potatoes, burritos, and chocolate chips. Carter loves music! His favorite song right now is Michael Buble's "Haven't Met You Yet". Everytime it gets to the end of it, he claps, points to the cd player and we start it all over. He likes dancing to all kinds of music, and will always start moving his head and body when he hears music. Carter is usually a good listener. He listens especially well if we ask him to bring us something. We are trying to prepare him for when the baby is born. He loves when he sees other babies, so that is hopeful. He is our little on the move boy and we just love him!!

Not Quite Myself

This past week has pretty much sucked hardcore. I have been sick ALL week with a cold. Friday morning I discovered wierd, painful bumps in my mouth and it really hurt to swallow. So, I went to the doctor. Don't have strep, just some "other" virus. Lovely. I did however, get to hear the baby's heartbeat which was cool. I know that each pregnancy is different, but this really sucks! I have felt SOOOO much worse this time, than with Carter. I also understand that some women would give anything to be in my place and so I don't mean to tread on those feelings. But just knowing how much further I have to go, is really daunting. Plus, Carter has been such a little turd lately. It's like he's skipped over right into the terrible 2's. I must admit, I have not been handling this well at all. I read stuff and try different things, but most of the time it just doesn't seem to work. It's all a work in progess I know, but at the same time, it's supremely stressfull.

The Many, .....Many Adventures of Carter

Lets see, last week I took daddy's electric razor (not plugged in) and saw the toilet bowl open and there was only one thing I could do, throw it in! And then I saw some deodarant and said that must go in as well! Whilst I was standing by the toilet I also saw a full roll of toilet paper. It just seemed to say to me, "you MUST unroll me, ALL of me" and so I did. It was a very cool looking mountain of toilet paper too.
I also love my daddy's iPOD. But I also LOVE to throw things too. Everything. Mommy kept telling daddy, "Do NOT let him have it!" Mommy was asleep and I just saw it sitting there on the couch, (daddy must have forgotten that it was there) and guess what I did? I threw it as hard as I could against one of my toys that is hard. And yep, it broke. The screen shattered. Boy oh boy was daddy mad. I'm not sure why, I just threw it. I didn't know what would happen.
They always tell me "Carter, it's a good thing you are so cute." I'm also not too sure what that means.

Well, here we go again.
